New York City: Day One

WE MADE IT!! Emily and I woke up this morning wayy before the crack of dawn to catch our 5:20am flight that started our journey to New York City. As a flight attendant's kid, lets just say I LOVE the airport, travel, flying, the safety speech (2 L 2 R) and everything involving the airlines.
After a very rainy layover in DC we made it to New York with only the clouds following us.
The beautiful Grand Central Station is always a treat... we took the NYC Airporter($13 instead of a $30+ taxi ride) to Grand Central to catch the subway and gawk at the beautiful station. From there we caught the 4 train to the Upper East Side where we are staying for the first half of the trip.
After taking a quick 2 hour nap, we were up and at 'em and decided to go explore. Our leisurly stroll around the neighborhood turned into a 44 block walk from the Upper East Side to Times Square... we were excited, obviously haha
We found some great rocks in Central Park with a city view!

After we explored Central Park we went into a notoriously extravagant store, Bergdorf Goodman. Lets just say I didn't take any pictures because I didn't risk taking my hands out of my pockets! We then headed to the kid heaven of FAO Schwarz.
We then continued our leisurely stroll (ha!) on to Times Square to see all the craziness! Our plan is to wake up and head back to Times Square for Good Morning America butttt we will see how were feeling when we wake up!
Today we conquered the Subway and crossed a few things off our very long list...
Central Park, Bergdorf Goodman, Apple Store, FAO Schwarz and The Plaza
Goodnight for now from the City that never sleeps!
