Sitting Quietly

As a senior in college, life has many worries... especially worries about the future. Jesus Calling is my favorite daily devotional. I have had it for years and even though the daily devotions repeat year after year, I feel that they continually speak differently to me. Lately, the devotions about worrying or trying to plan for the future have been hitting home. The devotion below really spoke to my heart and I wanted to share it. Maybe some of y'all are also struggling with worrying about the future ahead.
"For I know the plans I have for you,”declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

  1. So needed this today! As a senior in college as well, I worry about what the Lord's plan for my life is after college! Will I be able to find a job? Am I ever going to get married?? It can be so easy to look too much into the future and not appreciate the now and what blessings the Lord has given us TODAY. Thanks for sharing this and your heart!!

  2. Hi Morgan!

So refreshing to see someone else worrying about the same things as me! I recently received my copy of this book as well and have almost been shocked by how the devotionals have been so reflective of my current worries !lately. I try to remember to put more faith in a higher powers hand as I am told to do. Hopefully this will alleviate some stress and worry about the future. What a comfort though to know other seniors are going through the same thing!! Thanks for posting about this :) PS. Your blog is adorable!

    1. I just love how the devotions seem to always know what is on your heart! I am such a planner so I have had to learn over and over how to just let go, take a breath, and know that God has it under control... no need to stress over things that haven't happened! Good luck with finals!
